''Fifty Shades of Pedro''

In my photo digital art assignment entitled ‘’Three Shades of Pedro’’, this image shows the three shades of colour: green, blue and purple on the face of my friend Pedro. Digital art is an artistic work or practice that uses digital technology as an essential part of the creative or presentation process. I created this image for my Grade 12 Communication Technology class. I used what I have learned in previous units, which was creativity and technical knowledge in photography. I also used photo manipulation for my artwork.

      My Logo is based off of the ESPN Radio Design but I have instead personalized the logo and called it ‘’Roques Radio''. I created this image for my Grade 12 Communications Technology class by using an I Mac Computer and the Program Adobe Illustrator CS3 in Mr. Esford's Class. I have used creativity and techniques that I have learned in the previous units. My Logo is called Roques Radio. I hope to one day to be a radio host , as I am interested in Radio Production and Journalism so that’s why my Logo design is called Roques Radio.

I performed the graphic design duties for this DVD case cover for the Holy Cross Grade Nine video documentary. I used an iMac computer with Adobe Photoshop CS3. I was challenged to meet the holy cross standard by using the school's colours which are green and silver, to make the design stand out for grade eight students. I liked how we  were allowed to use photos from orientation as it gives grade 8s going into grade 9 next year an idea what orientation is going to be like from them next year. The best DVD case cover design will be selected and included in the DVD Package to be sent to Holy Cross Feeder Schools for grade eight students to learn more about Holy Cross Life and to aid in them to their successful transition to secondary school.

''My Canadian Stamp Design''

     I designed this stamp in my Grade 11 Comm Tech Class, to be entered in a contest for the Sears Design Exchange Competition and the theme of the contest was Canada's 150th anniversary. My idea was to photograph landmarks around Kingston such as the Sir John A. MacDonald House and Sir John A. MacDonald Statue and the City Hall Clock Dome. I used the City Hall Clock Dome photograph and I feel like the trees add balance between Architecture and Nature. I used a Nikon D5000 with a 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR lens and edited the photo on an iMac Computer with Adobe Photoshop CS3. I am happy how my Stamp Design turned out.

''Original Magazine Advertisement'' and ''Magazine Advertisement Reproduction''

      I created this Magazine Advertisement Reproduction in my Grade 11 Comm Tech Class. I used a NixonD5000 with a 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G VR lens and edited the photo on an iMac Computer with Adobe Photoshop CS3. I like doing the Magazine Reproduction because it was lots of fun trying to recreate a magazine ad that are existed and tried to copy the same font of the text and lettering. I really enjoyed this project because it was lots of fun and i enjoy the process. I enjoy researching the different magazine ads and then once I chose my magazine ad , I put my plan in action by bringing in the necessary materials to create my Magazine Advertisement Reproduction.

PUBLICLY HEAD SHOT "Bobby Barrett Head Shot'' Photographed by Robert Roques This is a Publicity Head Shot I photographed in my Grade 12 Com Tech course. I used a Nixon D90 DSLR with an 18-55 mm 1:3.5-5.6VR Lens. I also used a Camray 300 Compact Lighting System. I enjoyed this project because I got the chance to work with a cooperative model. Architectural Photo "Light Stream'' Architectural Photo by Robert Roques I photographed this Architectural image in downtown Kingston, Ontario, Canada since unfortunately i could not  make the Grade 12 communication Technology Toronto Trip . I used a Nixon D5000 DSLR camera with 18-55 mm 1:3-5:6g VRII. I edited this image on an iMacComputer using Adobe Photoshop CS3 software.  I learned to use natural light and architectural photography such as  the rule of thirds and perspective.  I like this assignment because I got out of my comfort zone and learned new techniques that will help me in the future.
